Our Firm's founder and President, Cindy Charleston Rosenberg, ISA CAPP, coordinates our appraisal team, comprised of ISA Accredited and Certified members with highly specialized experience and knowledge. Cindy utilizes over 30 years of market experience managing and evaluating collections of American Art. Our team includes experts in traditional, modern and contemporary American and European art, as well as specialists in Non-Western art, Asian, African and Tribal art. Cindy is a Certified Member of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA) and is a past President of the ISA National Board of Directors. Certified Status is the highest level of credentialing ISA can bestow. As of 2020, there are less than 35 individuals in the United States and Canada holding the distinction of ISA Certification earned through the pathway of Fine Art.
Prior to her Certification to appraise fine art, she was the proprietor of The Charleston Galleries. Operating successfully for over ten years, Ms. Rosenberg retired the Galleries in 2001 to dedicate her full time efforts to her art appraisal practice. Prominent auction houses, museums, financial advisors, attorneys and private collectors rely confidently upon her expertise as an unbiased independent appraiser.
Her post graduate studies include studio course work at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and The University of the Arts, the continuing education programs at The Philadelphia Museum of Art and James A. Michener Art Museum. Ms. Rosenberg is a member of many professional appraiser and art related organizations.
Mrs. Rosenberg is an experienced public speaker and expert witness. References are available upon request. Cindy speaks and writes widely on complex art appraisal issues, and has presented at the ISA National Conference on appraising art at the high end of the American Art market.

Monika B. Slawow
Appraisal Associate and Client Relations
Monika holds a BA in Public Relations from Temple University, and performs a wide range of support services for the Art Appraisal Firm including the coordination of client services, outreach and promotion. Monika joined the firm in 2012, adding a diverse range of skills and experience from her unique ability to facilitate client relations to improving organization and efficiency. She brings a deep understanding of implementing support strategies with high efficiency from her work with the Law Firm of Krishna B. Narine based in Philadelphia, and a diverse multi-cultural background from working abroad, for the Nadzwyczajne Dzieci Foundation in Poland. Monika is a talented fine artist which suits her ability to support the Art Appraisal firm in research and compilation of appraisal reports. Her eye for detail and strong task management ensure that our clients are thoroughly cared for through every stage of the appraisal process.

Many of our clients with collections of significant value chose to have their artwork professionally photographed. Bonnie Charleston-Stevens is a formally trained photographer and artist with extensive experience photographing prominent fine art collections with discretion and care. In addition to providing photographs for insertion into your Appraisal Report, as a courtesy to our clients, Bonnie will also provide a high-resolution jpeg of each item photographed in CD-ROM format, which may also be used for other purposes such as submitting an object for consideration for museum exhibition or sale. Condition and restoration are pertinent issues in the proper valuation of fine art. Whenever there is a question as to the originality of a work of art, our firm consults with Paul Gratz. Paul received his training at The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. He has specialized in traditional conservation techniques in professional restoration of paintings, works on paper and gilded objects for more than 25 years.
